About

A firm built for the business of medicine.

Mednixis exists because of a gap that is obvious once you have seen it from both sides. Clinicians are trained exhaustively in medicine and almost not at all in running the organisation that delivers it. Business consultants understand organisations and almost nothing about how a clinic actually works — how referral relationships form, why a surgical list overruns, what a patient is really deciding when they choose where to be treated.

Most healthcare practices in Egypt sit in the space between those two kinds of expertise, and end up buying neither. They hire a marketing agency, get campaigns, and conclude that growth in healthcare does not respond to marketing. In most cases the campaigns were fine. They were pointed at a business whose real constraint was somewhere else entirely.

We work the other way around. Every engagement starts by reading the organisation — the appointment book, the case mix, the staffing rota, the collections — before anyone proposes anything. The finding is written down and signed off before recommendations follow. Frequently the constraint is not demand, and the most valuable thing we do in the first month is stop a client spending money on the wrong problem.

That discipline is why we operate as six divisions rather than a service menu. Positioning without operations produces a promise the clinic cannot keep. Operations without positioning produces an efficient business nobody has a reason to choose. Systems without either produces expensive software. The parts have to arrive in order, and the order is the actual product.

We are based in Egypt and work across Egypt and the GCC. We build as well as advise, because a recommendation handed back to an already-overloaded owner is not help. And we do not publish packages, because scope should follow the reading rather than precede it.
